Program Overview

As students work toward their career goals, business instructors help them develop practical skills and mentor them.

As part of our 100 hours (5 weeks) Capstone, JIT provides instructor-led practical exercises. Students will use marketing, finance, accounting, and human resources expertise as part of the Capstone project. Our capstone project offers a priceless chance to gain professional experience prior to graduation and starting a business career.

We will discuss the career paths you can take with a business administration diploma before diving into what they are. No matter where you are or where you decide to study, business administration diploma programs typically cover the same curriculum. As mentioned above, business administration diploma programs prepare you for various jobs in the business sector. This course covers all the essential business fundamentals relevant to today’s workplace.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma (or equivalent) or mature student status;

  • Grade 10 Math;
  • English language proficiency requirements:
    • Domestic students: Grade 10 English;
    • International students: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 5.0 or higher, TOEFL (paper): 550 or TOEFL (CBT): 210 or TOEFL (IBT): 45 or higher, earned grade 12 graduation diploma in a system where English was the official language of instruction, Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) Score of 35 or higher, Canadian Language Benchmarks( CLB) Level 5 or higher.
  • Mature student status (19 years of age or older and one year out of school).

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Successful graduates of this Business Administration Diploma will be able to:

  • Identify the fundamentals of Canadian economics, business, and business management to apply them in any setting.
  • Identify and demonstrate basic management principles in marketing, sales, human resources, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility.
  • Articulate with confidence how the Canadian legal system affects business and commerce.
  • Use business language and terminology to draft and create written and verbal communication pieces, such as electronic messages, Interoffice memos, demonstrations, presentations, etc.
  • Utilize and apply Microsoft Office tools to facilitate and improve office procedures,
    business communications, and information organization.
  • Apply business mathematics, accounting, and finance principles to confidently perform entry-level bookkeeping tasks.
  • Discern which management information systems best suits their business needs by translating business needs into technical solutions and applications.

DELIVERY METHOD

Online Synchronous: Meaning students attend classes virtually in ‘real time’ with instructors and classmates.
